Welcome to Papered Dreams — Here's How It All Began

Papered Dreams began during COVID, when I was looking for a creative outlet.

One day, I came across a reel of a woman making and selling self-defense keychains by mail order. A light bulb went off: I can do this! I researched the supplies and wrote down everything I learned. Then reality hit: a few of the items I needed weren't allowed.

Piffle!!! Back to square one. 😄

A few months later, I was back on Facebook (don't ya just love Facebook?!) when I found a reel of a woman curating the most beautiful journal bundle. I was in absolute awe. I thought, That's it! I researched the idea, wrote down every item, and started buying supplies a little at a time.

I was hooked.

Eight months later — Papered Dreams was born. 💙

A Little About Me

I'm Joy, a proud woman of English and Native American descent. I live life on my own beautiful terms. I'm a mom to four amazing adult children, a grandma to three precious grandchildren, and a devoted furbaby mom to two very spoiled babies. 🐾

Then there's my husband. My true love and answered prayer. I was 55 when I found him. He is everything I ever wanted and more. I thank God every day for him and for my beautiful family.

Sometimes I wonder, what if we had met sooner? But, I know the answer. He wouldn't have been the same man I met in 2019. The trials, hard times, and journey shaped him into the man he is. I wouldn't change a thing. 🙏

Papered Dreams is more than a shop. It's a dream that grew out of a difficult season. I built it one beautiful bundle at a time. I pour love into every package I create. I know how meaningful it is to find beauty in unexpected places.
